Ok, so it’s safe to assume that this blog is pretty much dead. I will put a little (emphasis on little) effort into trying to resuscitate this blog but don’t count on much. Til then, ta!
REVAMP!
•March 29, 2009 • Leave a CommentSoccer!!! My beloved Liverpool!!!
•September 3, 2007 • Leave a CommentI’m absolutely the happiest person on earth right now. Did any of you watch the trashing Derby County got courtesy of Liverpool? Well, I did and it was AWESOME!!! I’m so glad that my dad decided to resubscribe to the sports channel again! It’s been too long and gawd do I miss watching live soccer. Being deprived from watching any live matches, or rather, any matches at all, for an entire year, I managed to delude myself into thinking that I really wasn’t missing out on anything.
I WAS WRONG!!!
Nothing beats watching a match on big screen, and it’s especially sweeter when your team wins. And it seems that Liverpool can do no wrong at this moment! In my opinion, for any Liverpool supporters, this could very well be the season that we finally win the premiership title. At the their going, they surely seem unstoppable!!!
I also wanna add that Torres is looking pretty fine in that red jersey!!! =)
CUTE!!!
•September 3, 2007 • Leave a CommentCheck this out! It’s so cute and adorable. You just know that that little girl will grow up and terrorize someone in her high school.

‘How will you be defined in the dictionary?’ at QuizGalaxy.com
…whilst the questionable sanity part may be slightly (emphasis on this) true, I have no urge, not now nor ever, to start a cult. Really!
Simpsons? Hairspray?
•July 27, 2007 • 2 CommentsDilemma! I can’t seem to decide which movie I should watch. Simpsons or Hairspray?
The simpsons’ trailer looked hilarious! Sure, the jokes may seem lame but it still cracks me up. Like the part where Arnie, the Californian mayor says he was elected to lead, not read. HAHA! Or Homer screaming that the bible has no answers. No offence intended but that was funny.
On the other hand, Hairspray looks like a fun movie, and plus it had loads of cool dances and songs. I mean, who doesn’t like ‘You Can’t Stop The Beat’? It’s a pretty catchy song. And seeing John Travolta in a fat suit dressed as a woman should be good! Of course I’d prefer to watch the musical but the chances of it coming to Singapore is pretty much ZERO! So the movie’s the next best thing right?
I’m still undecided. Both had rave reviews so no help there. Both have comedic aspects and almost no effects, unlike transformers which was AWESOME by the way! Shia’s a really clever actor and he’s grown so much! I truly take him seriously as a actor now and he’s definitely one of my favourite actors. But that’s beside the point. God, I digress so easily!
I could watch both movies but I’m reluctant to. Plus, finding some to go and watch Hairspray could be difficult. Gotta find someone who loves corny and cheesy stuff and musicals. And who doesn’t mind spending like $10 to watch a corny, cheesy musical movie. So I guess I’m more inclined toward The Simpsons movie.
Gosh, that was a thoroughly boring post. Oh well! Better than nothing, and my header did warn you!
HP and the Deathly Hallows…spoilers included!
•July 23, 2007 • Leave a CommentI went on a mad streak last saturday and read the entire harry potter book in a day. That’s a record for me man. I mean, 607 pages in a day! I don’t think I’ve done that before. Hurray for me!!! Just to clarify though, a day in my vocabulary means my entire waking hour, which isn’t very long. So hurray for me again!
So since I haven’t found anyone to impose my thoughts on, I’ve decided to blab about it here. In case anyone hasn’t finished reading the book yet, I strongly suggest that you don’t read any further because I will not be held responsible for spoiling the last ever harry potter book. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
I must say that JKR really outdid herself. I mean the storyline about Snape, between him and Lily, no one could have predicted that. Sure, almost everyone knew he was good but making it because of Lily! WOW!
I am outraged at the deaths of Lupin, Tonks and Fred! I was a huge Lupin fan ever since book 3 and to kill him of in a sentence is just cruel. I thought JKR might have let Tonks survive seeing as how she and Lupin just had a baby. I know Lupin kinda had his fate sealed when he married Tonks. (He seemed the most likely to die seeing as how someone had to.) Give me a moment to express my delirium at their union! Squeal! Sorry, had to get that out. As I was saying, killing of one of my favourite couple, the other being Ron and Hermione of course, without delving into the details just appalled me. I mean, come on! I know it sounds stupid but I would have preferred knowing that they died fighting like Voldemort, though I know that’s not quite possible, sadly. To me, it just seems that they deserved a better farewell. A more herioc farewell. I think Fred kinda got that. Still, who killed him isn’t very claer, though I’m led to believe it’s someone named Rookwood. I must say I felt that George should have been with him when it happened though. Always a pair (duh!), the prescence of George, instead of or with Percy would have been more realistic. Moody’s death didn’t really have much impact on me to be honest, though it could be because it happened early on. Dobby’s departure was heartbreaking for me, especially seeing how Harry reacted to the loss.
Farewell Remus Lupin, Nymphadora Tonks, Fred Weasley, Alastor ‘Mad-Eye’ Moody, Severus Snape, Hedwig and Dobby!
I did enjoy Kreacher’s developement in this book. He’s really grown on me a lot. I loved the part when he suddenly became Dobby-like, minus the extreme worshipping of Harry of course. And he’s half spasm/bow towards Hermione cracked me up. I’m glad he at least appeared in the battle of Hogwarts. Go Kreacher!
Throughout the book, Harry’s constant stubborness did annoy me, though not as much as in book 5. He’s constant need to use Voldemort’s name eventhough it’s been taboo-ed was so Harry. If you haven’t noticed, I’ve liked him much less since book 5. Much much less. I must say Ron’s behaviour was a little strange. He’s actions toward Hermione early on were a little weird for me, and I’m a Ron/Hermione fan. But as usual, it grew on me. I did miss their bickering, which was probably why I savoured the moment when Ron returned after abandoning Harry and Hermione. Hermione’s reaction to that was just excellent! And the moment Ron left the group, Hermione’s non-stop cries nearly left me crying. Nearly!
I have to say though that what justifies the price of this book ($48 I tell ya!) is hands down the battle of Hogwarts! It was AMAZING! And it was so exciting and exhilarating. I think that this part was so well-written, with the exception of the mentioned deaths above, that the epilogue really really paled in comparison.
To me, I could have done without it. If not, I would’ve preferred JKR to expand more on the lives of the surviving characters. The epilogue seemed a bit cliche and a little corny. But aside from that, it was as expected a great book from JKR. I’m still seething about Lupin and Tonks though. Grrr!
So, in my opinion, Deathly Hallows ties for second with Goblet of Fire. Prizoner of Azkaban still tops the whole Harry Potter series for me. *smiles*
Revival Of Blog
•July 23, 2007 • Leave a CommentI know my blog’s been pretty much dead so I’ve decided to try and revive it, the operative word being try.
I’ve also filtered my blog, meaning deleted all my posts mainly cause’ I reread them and thought they were boring and meaningless, expect the mothers’ day post of course. I merely took that down because my dad told me not to put pictures of him or my mom on the web.
Dunno why though. I think they’re very attractive people, though others may disagree but don’t you dare! Anyway, hopefully this revival will stick! =)
